Record shows location of death as Franklin, New London Co, CT

"The inventory of the estate of Mr. David Lad [sic] late of Norwich, taken 4 May 1751 by Ebenezer Hartshorn, William Brett, and James Elderkin, amounted to £4864.11.4, including 145 acres of land; the bounds given in the division of the land show that the homestead was on Pautipaug Hill, south of Thomas Hazzen's, and not on Pleasure Hill as stated in Woodward's History of Franklin. Distribution of the portion set out to the widow for life use was made 26 Mar. 1789, to the sons Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Joseph, Daniel, Samuel, David, and Abner, to daughters Hiphzibah [sic] wife of Eliakim Perry, Hannah wife of Seth Allen, Abigail wife of Joseph Sampson, Barthsheba [sic] wife of Abijah Smith, and to the heirs of Azubah Allen deceased wife of Daniel Allen.
