Notes from John Ladd: He was not the sturdy farmboy type, but of frail constitution with studious inclinations. Records show he entered Harvard in the fall of 1759 at the age of 15. He graduated from there but whether he received his medical training at Harvard or somewhere else is unknown. He returned to Coventry and started to practice medicine in the summer of 1764. He married Abiel Richardson on June 26, 1766.
Dr. Henry Ladd died on August 9, 1778 at the age of 34. It is possible that he may have been killed in the Revolutioanry War.
