Notes from Warren Ladd: of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co, WI. He acquired a common school education, and then entered the Castleton Seminary of Vermont with the intention of pursuing a college course, but owing to sickness and trouble with his eyes he was commpelled to abandon his long-cherished desire, and returned to his farm at Woodstock, VT where he lived until the Fall of 1856, when he removed with his family to Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co, WI. His business there was life and fire insurance.
