Civil War Casualty. Enlisted in Co. F, 25th Reg. WI Vol killed at Battle of Iuka, Sept. 19 1862. Sylvester was killed in the Battle of Corinth in 1862- died at Iuka, Mississippi. He was 22 years old when he died. He was in Company "F" of the 16th Regiment, Wisconsin Volunteers. "Sylvester C Palmer, Claimed Residence in Lincoln, Enlist Date: 28 October 1861, Rank: Corpl.
