General Notes:
Notes for Thomas Palmer, Jr: The majority of this generation's personal notes were provided from earlier interviews with Janet Palmer Houston and Earl John Palmer great- grandchildren.
A biography of his son Nelson E. Palmer says...his grandfather's name was Thomas and and his great-grandfather was a soldier in the Revolution..his is of English descent on his father's side and a mixture of German on his mothers... that they moved to Noble Co., in 1844 and arrived in Wisconsin 1852.
In a letter dated March 10th, 1867, Simeon Phelps writes to his brother Clark ... old man Palmer has been sick all winter with a kidney complaint. Nelson carried him to the Rapids on a bed two weeks ago last Wednesday. I don't think that he will ever get well. (He died the next month on April 27th.)
