Spooner's Journal, Windsor, Vermont - published by Alden Spooner For The Years 1811-1818 makes numerous references to many deaths, specifically among children, attributed to Petechial or Spotted Fever in Reading County and other parts of Vermont in 1811 and 1812. Could this have been the cause of the deaths of Miriam, Lucretia and Lysander within a two week period.
