  General Notes:

He attended the district school until 1853, when he went to Manchester, NH, to live with his sister, Mrs F A Brown, where he attended the grammer and high school for two years; was then employed in the daguerreotype and photograph rooms of his brother-in-law, Frank A Brown, where he remained until 1861, when he enlisted in the 1st NH Battery and served until 1864, when his time expired and he was discharged. After leaving the army he was employed most of the time, until 1866, in the store of his sister-in-law Mrs E C Ladd, at Philadelphia, PA, then entered the employment, as a travelling agent of Hirsh & Bro., manufacturers of umbrellas and parasols. He removed to Bedford, where he resided until Oct 1887, when he removed to Wellington.

Dudley married Judith C BOODY on 11 Dec 1867. (Judith C BOODY was born about 1843 in Manchester, Hillsborough Co, NH and died on an unknown date.)
