Augustus DUNNING

  General Notes:

Note: Augustus, son of John Dunning, was a farmer, retired from it, lived in the house across from the Colonial Home and was destroyed a few years ago. He was Town Clerk, then became Custom Officer and moved to Rouses Point where they both died. They had 2 sons John (died young) and Harry, who became a druggist in Willsboro. After Augustus death, Mrs. Dunning's brother, Henry lived there until he died.

Augustus married Lydia Susannah SLOSSON, daughter of Horace SLOSSON and Irena Wells LADD. (Lydia Susannah SLOSSON was born about 1848 in Chazy, Clinton Co, NY and died on an unknown date in Rouses Point, Clinton Co, NY.)
