Moses BEERS
- Born: Abt 1750
- Marriage: Elizabeth BURR about 1775
- Died: 1798 about age 48
General Notes:
b. probably in the 1760's; d. between 31 May 1800 and 30 May 1805; m. (prob. in the late 1780's), Abigail Nash. Moses Beers, Sr. conveyed land in Norwalk to Moses Beers, Jr. on 18 June 1788. This land record, not seen, might add to the little known of this man. He was called Moses, Jr. in the 1790 census when both he and his father headed Norwalk families. The former (shown as 1-1-1) was probably newly married and father of only one child. In the 1800 census only one Mosed Beers is found in Norwalk - a man of over 45 with a wife in the same age group. The will of Moses Beers, dated 31 May 1800, mentioned his son Moses. The estate of the widow Abigail Beers (widow of Moses and mother of Moses) was distributed 11 May 1805; among her beneficiaries were the "heirs of Moses Beers, Jr., deceased". The children below are identified from the will of their grandfather Moses Beers.
Moses married Elizabeth BURR about 1775. (Elizabeth BURR was born in 1760 and died in 1796.)
