Notes from Jeanine Ricketts - RESIDENCE: Lenda and David Robinson appear in the 1850 and 1860 censuses for Princeton, Bureau, Illinois. The family plot is in the Oakland Cemetery in Princeton, Block 1; however, Elvira and Erastus Sherwin are buried in Block 3 and daughter Laura and her husband Osmyn are buried in Block 15.
CHILDREN: This couple had 8 children in Williamstown, Vt., and two more in Bureau County, Illinois.
NOTES: David Robinson served in the War of 1812, and for that service, he received a warrant to locate land in Bureau County, Illinois, near Princeton. The family made the trip overland by wagon to their land in 1835. Marriage performed by Jerod Kimball, Esq.
NOTES: On two records, Lenda's name was written Mrs. Philinda Robinson.
