Notes from Warren Ladd: of Providence, RI. Samuel was, it is evident, a descendant of Joseph Ladd. He was admitted a freeman of the colony, May 4, 1736. He purchased, Jan 27, 1728, a dwelling house and land of William Amy Carpenter. He purchased land in Warwick, RI, July 18, 1750, of Moses Budlong. He sold land in Pawtuxet, RI, to Charles Rhodes. His wife Bersheba signed the deed. He sold, Sept 11,1750, land in Pawtuxet, RI to Jeremiah Wescot, being the same land he purchased of Edward Arnold, Mar 30, 1736. He sold land and dwelling house in Warwick, RI, May 22, 1755, to James Green, his wife Bersheba signed the deed. He lived in Providence, Warwick, Johnston and again in Porvidence RI.
He married Bersheba ?, but we have failed to find her maiden surname, or the Christian name of the father of this Samuel Ladd.
