Notes from Warren Ladd: He spent most of his life in Tolland, Tolland Co, CT. For nearly thirty years he taught school in the Winter and looked after the interest of his farm in the summer months. He was a justice of the peace, and held at different times most of the important town offices; represented the town in the State legislature about 1860; and was always interested in the growth and prosperity of the place, and exerted his influence for its moral and material advancement.
