Horace Bangs CROWELL

  General Notes:

Arlene & Dick Crowell visited the Cicero Center (Stone Arabia) Cemetery
on 6Jun2001 and did not find a stone for Horace or his wife Samantha Ann
Abbey. However, the original cemetery plot plan showed that Horace owned
site #73. We learned fro m the Cicero Township Dept. of Parks that the
cemetery will be further enhanced through a $100,000 bequest from a donor.
Lona Flynn, (Town Historian) from Cicero, NY, found the graves of Horace & Samantha Crowell in the North Syracuse Cemetery (old part) also called Centreville Cemetery, Town of Cicero. They shared the same grave stone with Ella and Arthur Stearns . Ella E. Crowell Stearns was a daughter of Horace & Samantha. Samantha died in 1917 in the home of her daughter, Ella.

Horace married Samantha Ann ABBEY, daughter of Conrad R ABBEY and Lavina VAN DYCK. (Samantha Ann ABBEY was born on 21 Feb 1838 in Dewitt, Onondaga Co, NY, died on 13 Jan 1917 in Cicero, Onondaga Co, NY and was buried in Cicero, Onondaga Co, NY.)
