Arlene & Dick Crowell visited the Stone Arabia (Cicero Center Cemetery), N.Y., 13Jun2001 and found the grave stone for Allen Crowell and his wife Laura. They are on site #20. Allen was one of three children of Capt. Ebenezer Crowell who moved from Hawely, MA to Cicero (Ereda, Ebenezer and Allen) in 1820.
(Syracuse Post Standard, July 31, 1941). Allen's family lived in the vicinity of Cicero Center and had many descendants. The three Crowell siblings, above, and their descendants are referred to as "The Cicero Crowells." "They now form a part of Onondaga County Historical Records in the Onondaga County Public Library in Syracuse, NY.
Beside showing their American ancestral background, has the make-up of more than 125 families as well as the names of several hundred offspring"

"It is interesting to notice that the children of the Mass. settlers married frequently into the families of Albany County, Pennsylvania and Mohawk and Schoharie Valley "Dutch" Revolutionary War veterans, who came and settled on their claims located in the Military Tract, which included the Town of Cicero" (J.H. Schaefer).
Laura Crowell was listed in the 1850 Census (Nov 12) of the Town of Cicero,Onondaga County, NY (Page 393A) as being 46 years of age and born in Massachusetts.
