Thomas LADD

  General Notes:

There is no documented evidence of who Thomas Ladd's f ather was, however, it appears that Nathaniel Ladd, b. December 25, 1740 in Exeter, Rockingham Co., N.H. (Edward, Nathaniel, Nathaniel, Daniel, Nathaniel) is the PROBABLE father. His wife is not known. Nathaniel is the probable father for several reasons. Warren Ladd penciled in Thomas' name in under the section on Nathaniel and nearly all other lines have been traced in the Warren Ladd book of 1890. It is certain that the Thomas Ladd is a direct descendant of the two Nathaniel Ladds of Exeter, N.H.

Thomas and Hannah Jose were married by the Reverend Jonathan Cogswell, pastor of the Church of Saco.

Thomas Ladd is listed on the 1800 cenus for York Co.,Maine, Page 90; the 1810 census for York Co., Maine, Page 718 and the 1820 census for Saco, York C., Maine, Page 462.

Thomas married Sarah PHILLIPS on 9 Dec 1792 in Saco, York Co, ME. (Sarah PHILLIPS was born on 17 Apr 1773 in Saco, York Co, ME and died on 28 Jan 1813 in Saco, York Co, ME.)
